Important questions before renting

  • How do I rent an apartment?
    It’s fast and simple. Just choose the beginning date of the rental period,, indicate the number of persons. Afterwards,you can see the vacant apartments according to your information.
  • For how long can I rent the apartment?
    At least 6 months
  • With whom does the correspondence take place?
    The whole correspondence takes place exclusively between you, as a potential rental tenant and the landlord of the furnished apartment. All agreements are concluded directly and exclusively between you and the landlord. To avoid misunderstandings, we recommend to clarify all questions in advance.
  • Is it possible to visit the apartment for viewing before concluding the lease?
    Please clarify this directly with the landlord. The landlord will inform you about possibilites.
  • What are the things which I have to consider before concluding a rental agreement?
    To avoid misunderstandings, we recommend to clarify all questions in advance. How far away the amenities are from the apartment( e.g. grocery shops etc.)? How long is the distance of the unit from the public transport and from your workplace? Is there any parking lot? Is there a washing machine? What would be the emerging costs? Please check the rental agreement before concluding and examine if all the arrangements are included in your chosen furnished unit.
  • How and with whom do I conclude the lease?
    All transactional agreements including the rental agreement are concluded exclusively between the potential tenant of the apartment and the landlord. We provide no warranty and have no influence on the accuracy and completeness of the advertisements as well as on the lease.
  • Are there any additional costs that are not included/included in the monthly rent?<
    Normally the additional costs are included in the monthly rent. Please clarify the details with the landlord.
  • Is there WLAN/WiFi in the apartment?
    An Internet connection is available in every apartment (WLAN / LAN).
  • Do I have to pay a commission?
    The accommodation service is basically free of commission for you as a potential tenant.
  • Do I have to pay a deposit?
    A deposit may correspond to a maximum of 3 months rent, please coordinate in advance with your landlord.
  • Which payment options are available?
    Please clarify this directly with the landlord. The landlord will give you information about this.
  • How does the handing over works?
    Contact the landlord preferably by mail at least 2 days before the beginning of the rental period.
  • Which items are available in the apartment?
    Please note the information about the equipment at the apartment advertisement.

Important questions during the rental

  • How is the traffic connection?
    All apartments are normally centrally located and have a good transport connection. For detailed information please check the apartment advertisement.
  • Are there any shops in the surrounding area?
    All apartments are normally centrally located. For detailed information please check the apartment advertisement.
  • How are the parking options?
    Some of the apartments have their own parking lot which can be rented. Please check the apartment advertisement. In other case, you can also use the public parking lots.
  • Is there any garbage segregation system?
    The waste segregation may varies depending on the apartment. The landlord will explain it to you at handing over.
  • How do I avoid moisture damage (mold growth) in the apartment?
    You will receive a leaflet from the landlord. This is part of our quality standards.
  • What to do if the key(s) got lost?
    Please immediately inform your landlord about the lost of keys. The landlord will clarify the further steps together with you. Normally, you have to pay for the loss of the key.
  • What to do if there is damage in the apartment?
    Damages that already existed at the handover will be included in the apartment handover protocol. For damages that occur after the handover please contact your landlord immediately. The landlord will clarify the further steps together with you. Normally you have to pay for self-inflicted damages.
  • Which insurance should a tenant take may out?
    It is generally advisable to take out a personal liability insurance.
